Interactive Discovery Consulting and Psychological Services, P.C. (www.interactive-discovery.com) is an established private group practice (since 2008). We are a holistic and integrative mental health practice with three locations in the heart of beautiful Park Slope, Brooklyn, consisting of psychologists, social workers, creative arts therapists, family therapists, school/parenting consultants, neuropsychological evaluators, and a nutritionist.
We provide: Individual, family, couples, and group therapy for kids, teens, and adults; Nutritional Consultation; Psychoeducational and Neuropsychological Evaluations, Groups, School Support, Workshops and Training for Clinicians, Teachers, and Parents; Organizational Consultation and Staff Training.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and passionate postdoctoral fellow to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering top-quality care to children, teens, adults, and families.
We are specifically looking for individuals with the following qualifications:
● NYS Limited Permit or Permit Eligible
● Has experience working with children, teens and families.
Job Description:
As a postdoc fellow specializing in working with children and families, you will play a pivotal role in our practice. Some of your responsibilities will include:
● Providing individual therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults, as well as parent consultation.
● Developing individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and monitoring their progress.
● Conducting psychological/neuropsychological evaluations.
● Leading or co-leading groups and workshops based on client needs and your interests.
● Collaborating with our team of clinicians and contributing to case presentations.
● Contributing to the ID Monthly Newsletter and social media posts.
● Referring patients to external specialists or agencies when necessary.
● Collaborating with external clinicians, schools, and agencies to ensure coordinated care.
● Maintaining accurate medical records and adhering to safety protocols and client confidentiality.
*Please note that postdoc hours are typically completed in 12-months with a full-time caseload.**

Compensation:
This full-time position offers an annual compensation in the range of approximately $55,000 to $65,000, which will be dependent on the candidate's experience level, expertise in a particular specialty, and number of cases carried. We will give special consideration to therapists with specialized training, experience, and expertise in working with children, particularly those who have developed a niche in specific areas such as play therapy, PCIT, trauma-informed care, or neurodiverse populations.

● Has extensive experience working with families and children who present with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, and/or behavioral dysregulation.
